This summer, I was shopping in downtown Holland when I came across this dress in Tip Toes (which is a super cute store if you are looking for kids clothes!) and I saw this dress. I texted a picture to my sister in law and told her that I thought it would be perfect for some photos of Lyla! So, being the awesome sister in law that she is, she went and bought it and made a cute head piece to go with it.
I love my nieces and I especially love my alone time with them when I get to take their pictures. <3
I love everything about this engagement session and am so excited to share it!
Brandon and Carley are getting married next summer on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan so it made perfect sense to take their engagement photos there as well. These two are absolutely adorable together and made my job super easy. All smiles, all fun and so in love.
Thanks, you two! I am so excited for you and am so happy to be your photographer!
Do you know what I love about being a wedding photographer? A lot of things! But, one thing that I love the most is how unique each wedding is. Not one is the same. Each couple is different, has different tastes, interests, and personalities. You can have a wedding in the same spot, have the same weather, and the same number of guests and bridal party. But, it is always going to be unique because of the couple! So, that keeps me coming back for more. 😉
Eric and Christina were a ton of fun and threw one heck of a party! They were so sweet, up for whatever I threw at them, and really were just so excited to be married and to celebrate with their family and friends! And, it turns out that I know Eric’s mom…what a fun surprise for me!
Thank you so much, Eric and Christina for having me as your photographer. You guys make such a cute and happy couple and it was such an honor to capture your wedding day!
Enjoy your sneak peek!
Ryan & Stacey, you two are special.
I knew from I heard the first details that your wedding was going to be dreamy but I didn’t know until I met you just how sweet the two of you would be. You have a way of making people feel completely respected and a part of your group from the minute they meet you. Thank you.
Ryan and Stacey’s wedding took place on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan where Ryan’s grandmothers house used to stand. It was a gorgeous day, fog rolling in softly over the water, and a nice breeze. We started with a first look at The Weathervane Inn and then made a couple of fun stops including the family hardware store, the family farm (complete with a combine tractor!) and then to the beach for the rest of their photos. I’m pretty sure they have had the largest bridal party I’ve ever photographed (I told you, they are so sweet!) but like Ryan & Stacey, so fun to be around!
The reception was gorgeous and held in a golden field next to Ryan’s mom’s house. Everything ran perfectly thanks to Cassie from White Dress Events. I loved all of the details including the beautiful china from Debbie Does Dishes. The flowers and centerpieces were done by friends and family…and they were perfect!
I could write all day on this wedding because there wasn’t a thing that I didn’t enjoy. But, I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking!

Oh my gosh, funniest toasts I have ever heard! Good job, ladies!
Isaac & Emily. These two are just awesome. The way they treat each other, their family, and their friends is a true testament to what kind of people they are and I enjoyed every part of their wedding day.
It was a perfect Michigan summer day and a gorgeous first day of July! The kind people dream of for their wedding day!
Isaac and Emily wanted to do almost all of their photos before the wedding so we had a great time planning out areas that were important to them. We started with a first look across from the church and then headed to Holland Christian High School which is where they went to school together. We made our way downtown Holland and then back to the church to get married!
The reception was held in a barn in Nunica, Mi. and it was such a treat! A perfect summer breeze, lawn games, tree swings, AMAZING light, and a lot of fun pretty sums up the atmosphere!
Thank you so much, Isaac and Emily, for choosing me to be your photographer! I have loved getting to know you over the past few months and am super excited to share these photos with you!
I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon! <3
